LEED BD+C V4 Reference Standards and Credit Values Practice Test 2026 - Free LEED Practice Questions and Study Guide

The correct number of points available for Schools under the LEED for Neighborhood Development Location category ranges from 8 to 15. This range reflects the specific criteria set forth in the LEED rating system for assessing the location of developments in relation to various environmental and social considerations.

The points are awarded based on the project's proximity to diverse community resources, sustainable transportation options, and other factors that promote sustainable development. By encouraging schools to be located in well-connected areas that provide access to various amenities and infrastructure, LEED aims to reduce reliance on automobiles, promote walking and biking, and enhance the overall sustainability of the site.

The other options do not align with the established framework for this particular category, as they either overestimate or underestimate the range of points available. Understanding this point range is critical for school project teams aiming to achieve a higher LEED certification and illustrating their commitment to sustainable design and performance.
